Dominique Furieri originated the family business in Italy in the early 1900's. One of Dominique's major projects was decorative work to the Hotel Carlton in Cannes. Dominique's
son, Jean-Dominique, expanded the business when it moved to France. Word
about this brilliant architectural craftsman quickly spread through the
international community and he was commissioned for high profile projects: Now the family tradition is run by the third generation, Jean-Francois. The studios and workshops are filled with moulds, patterns, archival material and books that he brought from Cannes to Canada in 1987. Now these designs are available in New York at our new shop location. Much of the stock is commercially available, but just about anything can be designed and built from concept to your exacting specifications. With access to new technology, iconoplast designs inc. is able to bring a modern approach to a traditional art. By utilizing a number of carefully selected CAD and computer graphics programs, we are able to create or alter and original design or scan and alter an existing graphic image or design. The Three Graces might still adorn a wall, but they're lit and enhanced now by newly designed lighting fixtures and look down on table bases, mirror frames, mantelpieces and more, all crafted and designed using materials such as fiberglass reinforced gypsum cement and aggregates. Applications are only limited by the imagination. We're confident you'll find many exciting ideas here to incorporate into your next project.
